Yup, they get along really well as long as you have plants to offer the bettas and butterfly fish places to hide. The African butterfly fish can be aggressive at the surface(where they spend most of their time) so by adding some floating plants and hiding places everyone is fine and happy.
Gosh since I posted that I have becoming a bird lover! I really would love to rescue a rose breasted cockatoo one day! Ugh there are so many to rescue and I don’t have a place right now got to finish college and 2 years feels too long!
That's awesome you want to rescue a parrot one day, Rosie was a rescued bird(she came to me emaciated, with organ failure and liver disease, as well as a calcium deficiency). She's come a long way the past 3 years. My friends rescued her from a women giving her away in front of a pet store because her husband was going to kill Rosie! But then sadly my friends only fed her a staple of sun flower seeds with jelly bean treats which caused her organ problems
I did a research paper on Hepatic Lipidosis (fatty liver disease) and Rose breasted Cockatoos were the most prone to it out of all the cockatoos. But yes my dream is to rescue because I’ve seen birds in pet store and have heard of people who say ‘Oh my bird is too old and doesn’t want to play’ or poor parakeets who no one treats right!! Ive also just recently saw a Macaw in a pet store that didn’t have any toys and was just holding on to the cage wanting to be let out. They didn’t take her out but boy do I wish I could have just gotten her out and let her have some freedom!
